What makes a good magazine?
1. use appealing people on the front cover because this will make people either want to be like the person on the front or they will want to look at them.
2. use competitions to draw peoples eyes in. this will make people want to read and find further information on how they can win the competition.
3. Use interesting or weird story lines on the front cover for example "my rapist added me on facebook" these will make people want to know about who it's about and want to know about all of the details on the interesting story.
4. Use a catchy name that will stay in their head, this will make sure that people remember what magazine it is and make them want to buy it again.
5. Have a low price so people will buy it more than the other more expensive competition, this will help to get your product sold a lot more than the other products
6. use free gifts this will make sure that people will think that if they spend the money to buy the magazine then they will want to buy the magazine again so that they will get free gifts from the magazine
7. Use eye catching bold font, this will draw the reader in if the title and background stands out and it will stay in their heads and they'll want to buy it again.
8. use brand new information, this will make people want to read it because they will see that they have new information that they wont find anywhere else
The magazine unit
- We can work in pairs
- we can use apropriate themes shuch as: sport, gossip, fitness
- Do not use inapropriate themes such as: pornography etc..
- In a pair you have to do 8 pages, on your own it's 4 pages
- we can't do music magazines
- we need to take mostly our own picture
