- The BBC was founded in 1927 by John Reith
- BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation
- The purpose of the BBC is to inform everyone about news that is going on in the world
- The BBC is funded by £7.96 per month per household and £2.11 for radio stations, because of the licence fee
- The BBC produces TV, Websites, radio.
- The BBC produce 26 different TV and radio channels
- It is important that we have public service broadcasting because it gives news coverage, arts shows, current affairs, education, original drama, science and children’s programmes, as well as religious broadcasts.
- I think we should have the license fee because of otherwise we would not have all of the news coverage from bbc and not have radio stations or t.v programmes from them. But we shouldn't have it because it cocts alot of money for people and adds on if you pay for Sky or Virgin
